Grubhub Student FAQ

Download the Grubhub app on your mobile device and create a new account (or sign in if you already have a Grubhub account). Once you are signed in, add SCSU as your campus by visiting “Settings” within your “Account” menu. Select “Campus Dining” and search for “SCSU Dining” to add as an affiliation. You should now be able to view on-campus dining locations within your Grubhub account.

To add your campus ID card and connect your meal plan as a payment method, visit “Settings” within your “Account” menu. Select Payment > Add new payment > ID Card and enter your credentials.

View on-campus food options within each dining location and add items to bag for checkout. Once you’ve placed your on-campus order, the app will notify you when your food is ready. You can pick up your food at the Grubhub pickup sign at the dining location you selected.

You can order food items for Grubhub from the following locations on campus:

  • Dunkin'
  • SubConnection
  • The Grill
  • Tres Habaneros
  • The Owl Perch

With your ID card linked to your account, Grubhub will accept Food Loot, Hoot Loot, and Anywhere Meals. Anywhere Meals can be used at select locations by ordering within the "Meal Swipe" version of each menu.

Credit cards can also be added to your Grubhub account as a form of payment.

Grubhub+ Student is a free membership program for college students who are affiliated with select universities through Grubhub Campus Dining.

Students receive $0 delivery fees on eligible orders that meet the subtotal minimum for Grubhub+ off-campus restaurants, lower service fees on eligible delivery orders, 5% back in Grubhub+ credit on eligible off-campus pickup orders, exclusive deals and discounts, and donation-matching.

Students can opt in to their free Grubhub+ Student membership in one of two ways:

  • When students input their campus card information in the Grubhub app, they will be asked to opt into a free Grubhub+ Student membership. By selecting the “Get free Grubhub+ Student” checkbox, their membership will be automatically activated. No credit card required.
  • Or students can input and verify their student email to opt in to their free Grubhub+ Student membership. When prompted in the Grubhub app, select “Get email confirmation” then head to your email and open the validation email to verify your student status by selecting “Let’s go”. Then, you’re all set! No credit card required.

This must be an .edu email linked to the specific school’s .edu domain for only Grubhub partnered campuses.

You do not need to create a new Grubhub account with your student .edu email but will need to verify your account with your student .edu email.
